Description

Manuela and Claudio love each other, but Manuela's aunt, knowing that one day Manuela will inherit her grandfather's possessions, would have her marry her son Emilio. Manuela flees and marries Claudio. He is not very successful as an opera singer so life becomes difficult for them and their child. The grandfather dies and the aunt gets a dishonest notary to produce a will in favor of her son. The grandfather's faithful butler tries to uncover the aunt's scheming but the police intervene. However, all ends well as the butler tells the chief of police the truth and the swindlers are arrested. Manuela gets her inheritance and she and Claudio can finally change life-style.
