A russian female basket-ball team arrives in Rome to face the american "White Angels", but after a taste of Western freedom, the athletes decide to desert the team. The girls each live different experiences, mostly romantic. Two of them actually marry a marquis and a communist in what is supposed to be a fake ceremony, but is not, complete with a Pope. The russian authorities finally promise to let them remain in Italy if they play and win. The Red Devils do win, nonetheless they are herded off to the airport. Fortunately, the husbands and boyfriends arrive in time and manage to have them stay.
