Description

Rocambole, alias Count Chamery is a gentleman-thief. His sworn enemy is the Prussian Arms manufacturer Baron Keller, who is not only a war-monger but a rival in his love for Cleo, a celebrated ballerina of the Opéra. When Rocambole saves the life of the French President of the Republic, the police, who were ready to arrest him, prefer to announce Rocambole's death and join the general praise of the saviour, Count Chamery. Keller is defeated and Rocambole marries Cleo
