Lawyer Broggini - Ugo Tognazzi - a rich and famous playboy, is illogically but strongly attracted by Ivana, a childish, chubby and not so beautiful young girl. She is not as easy as the others and Ugo is forced to make a formal wedding proposal to her parents in order to overcome her "hesitation"... Finally, when the couple has arranged for an "intimate encounter", Ivana shows up with a pregnancy certificate threatening Ugo - who had never touched her - either to marry her or to pay a large sum of money....
