Description

The four crew members of an Italian tank learn that an armistice has been signed after the events of the eighth of September. Three of them leave, only Carlo decides to remain and drive the tank back to the base. On his way there, Carlo faces various adventurous situations, at times comical, at times dramatic and at times sentimental. Carlo manages to drive the tank home thinking that it could help him till the soil, but when some German soldiers arrive he finds that the tank will be useful once more.
