Description

A cavalry officer loves the daughter of a nobleman, but she, to save her father from financial ruin, marries a rich Austrian diplomat. The officer dedicates himself passionately to horse-riding and becomes one of the most famous riders in Italy. In Rome a few years later he meets his old love, but circumstances don't allow them to relive their relationship. When the officer's horse dies, he decides to join the air force and, when war breaks out, he distinguishes himself heroically but ends up dying gloriously in battle.
