A good and serious judge and his wife have problems trying to educate their only son, Maurizio: the mother is too weak and the father is only good for lectures... Maurizio one night comes home wounded and is forced to tell about his robbery at a gas station! The father, torn between the instinct to protect his son and the ethic of his profession, convinces the boy give himself up to the police, but...leaves his service to expiate the guilt of being a poor father!
