Description

The Duke of Matera is chased out of his reign by the count of Tramontana. His son, Paolo, seeks revenge and by pure chance meets the count's daughter... with whom he falls in love! The cruel count will never allow it and this affair enrages the girl's husband-to-be, Filiberto... Assaults, kidnappings and revolts will occur but love and courage always triumph: the mean ones are eliminated, the innocent freed and the humble population given a good and merciful king....
