Description

Alberto Sordi, an emigrant returning to Italy for a short holiday, is arrested at the border and jailed for murder! Innocent, he experiences the sad reality of prison life, gets involved in a riot and finally ends up in an asylum... his mind being completely upturned by the tragic events. Just before going crazy, he is recognized innocent and freed... The traumatic situations will mark him for life; haunted by a crisis of identity, Alberto and his swedish family will never return to Italy again!
