Description

Marcius, satrap of Lydia, following the advice of Goliath, one of his generals, signs an alliance treaty with Alexander the Macedonian who is fighting Darius, king of Persia. Alexander, visiting the court of Marcius before marching against the Persians, asks the satrap to take care of the beautiful Kory during his absence. The girl who had been saved from brigands thanks to the courage of Goliath, passes a few happy days at the court of Marcius, waiting to be married to Goliath. But Artafernes, Marcius' prime minister, having been bribed by Darius, poisons the satrap and accuses Kory of the crime. Goliath, who defends Kory's innocence, is put into jail. But he manages to escape with the help of some friends and organises a revolt against the cruel Artafernes. Alexander finds out just in time and returns to Lydia to overthrow Artafernes, leaving the throne to Goliath and Kory.
