Description

This film is a classic Western scheme: "to settle a score", "to avenge a crime".."to erase an injustice". Hud's parents were murdered. Their land was stolen. And now Hud will dish out justice to the guilty - the three Clarke brothers who know they are in danger but they don't know from where the blow will come. Hud cleverly goes to work for them as their bodyguar. Hud's sister, Betty, and her sweetheart, Steve, the sheriff, fear for his safety and urge him to leave the whole thing alone. But Hud is bent on avenging his parents. He shoots it out with two of the brothers killing them both. Steve turns the third brother, Jason, over to the hired killers, but Hud and Steve manage to wipe them all out, Jason included. As far as Hud is concerned, the slate is now clean, but he must move on and keep moving because now he is a marked gunman
